Industrial Revolution- The Industrial Revolution was the transition to new manufacturing processes in the period from about 1760 to sometime between 1820 and 1840. It had a significant impact on British North American colonies and was a factor in the push to unify the colonies.

Section #3 - In the early 1860's the colonies of British North America were weak and isolated. Then, in 1864, events relating towards B.N.A.'s future began to move quickly. The movement towards Confederation took off. During the next three years the structure of modern Canada began to emerge and there were three conferences that played a major role in that process.
